IE 7 is out! I saw this on slashdot RSS this morning. I mean clearly Microsoft has some amazing software engineers if they can finally copy features such as. Tabs, RSS, but what really shocked was the print prieview which is similar to the one that i first saw on Mac OS X.

I won’t lie. I really wanted to try IE7 out to see if it works on my website and give an objective analysis on how fast it is and how the tabs are and if it displays my website correctly or not. So how far did i get? Right up to the “Validate your Windows” part. At that point for reasons I’m not really sure of i decided not to go any farther because i had the feeling that if I did I’d be reinstalling soon enough And that IE7 wouldn’t finish installing anyway because there might be errors validating for whatever reason?..

Anyway i’m still quite interested as to how well it will display my site. We’ll just have to see. I’ll write again when it does. But atm I’m still recovering from getting Bill Gate’s shaft early in the morning.

But I guess this is all too much for the 4 color mosaic… This is similar to IE not supporting newer css formats (although safari doesn’t do it perfectly either). But still of all things that are important to day to day life it is definitely email. I’m just shocked that and upset that this hold true and i have to retype reforward my emails. I really hope UTF-8 will become the standard on windows too someday and i think it will as UTF-8 is definitely much more widespread mobile phones etc.

Hmm that probably means if i told my family to check their email with their phones it would work… as opposed to windows…
